Kolkata, April 11: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a shocking statement in the case of gang rape and death of a minor in Hanskhali under Nadia district of West Bengal.

When Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who arrived to attend the program organized in the World Bangla Fair complex on Monday, was asked a question about this, she directly attacked the media.

Mamta said that if the leaf moves in Bengal, then big news is made. Will the incident in Nadia district be called rape or love affair? There is also talk of pregnancy. I have asked the police to investigate the incident.

Saying this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee looked at Director General of Police (DGP) Manoj Malviya and asked that I am right? On which the DG was seen shaking his head.

The Chief Minister also raised questions on the family of the girl who was killed. She said that she was allegedly raped on (April) 5th and after five days the family is registering an FIR. Why was it so late? If there was any issue, why was the FIR not registered on the 5th itself? She said that the police will investigate why there was delay in registering the FIR.

All the people who committed the gang rape are said to be associated with Trinamool Congress (TMC). When she was asked a question about this, she raised a question on the media and said that it is being shown in the media in a big way. Mamta said that if any young man and girl are in love, then it is not for me to stop them.

It is noteworthy that a minor girl was gang-raped by Hanskhali after inviting her to a birthday party, after which she died due to heavy bleeding. It is alleged that instead of cremation, the body was flushed in the Ganges by pressurizing the crematorium management and the police did not take action despite being informed.
