Firozabad, 30 Oct: Police here have filed a complaint against a man after a woman’s father, a PAC constable, claimed that she was forced to marry and convert to Islam.
According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ranvijay Singh, a PAC jawan filed a complaint alleging that Shahrukh, alias Vihaan, a resident of Amroha’s Goladia region, threatened his daughter with beheading if she did not marry him and convert to Islam. He claimed that the accused also obtained a blank paper signed by her on September 24, last year and is now threatening her.
The woman’s father said that the accused created a false Instagram account for his daughter and posted images of her. A complaint has been lodged under Section 366 of the Indian Penal Code (forcing a lady to marry, abduction) and Section 66 of the IT Act, according to the police official. He stated that the culprit will be nabbed soon.
