Lucknow, 07 January: Man injured in a road accident in Vikas Nagar police station area was admitted to the hospital for treatment but doctors declared him dead during the treatment. On Tuesday, an FIR was lodged by the family of the deceased against an unknown driver, police said.
Rajat Tiwari, a resident of Sector Q of Madiyaon police station, said that his brother Rahul Tiwari (30) was going towards the engineering college from Munshi Pulia on Monday night. A Bolero vehicle hit the motorcycle on the flyover in which Rahul was seriously injured in the accident, who was brought to Bhaurao Devras Hospital for treatment where the doctor declared him dead.
After the incident, the driver left the vehicle and fled. The police station in-charge said that the vehicle has been taken into custody and the matter is being investigated.
