Man held in UP for justifying Shraddha’s murder

Bulandshahr, 25 Nov: Days after reportedly making inflammatory words to defend the murder of Shraddha while engaging with a media person, a 26-year-old youth was detained by Bulandshahr police on Friday for intentional and malicious conduct designed to incite religious emotions.

The culprit, who had introduced himself as Rashid Khan in front of the media, was later recognised as Vikas Kumar. Kumar once told a journalist that if a man is upset, he may cut a lady into 35 pieces.

Shlok Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Bulandshahr, stated, “Two days ago, a video surfaced in which a youth claiming to be Rashid Khan was found uttering inappropriate statements.” A police report has been filed at the Sikandrabad police station.

According to the SSP, the man was arrested on Friday and identified himself as Vikas Kumar during questioning. “The police found five cases against the accused during the preliminary investigation, two in Bulandshahr and three in Gautam Budh Nagar. The theft and Arms Act charges were brought against him. He shot the video in Delhi,” he continued.

Akhilesh Tripathi, station house officer of Sikandrabad police station (Bulandshahr), stated, “A complaint was submitted by Ravindra Sharma, who claims to be a member of the Hindu Jagran Manch. The complaint was filed on Friday. We apprehended Vikas Kumar using surveillance and human intelligence.”

Vikas, a native of Bulandshahr, works as a labourer. In the viral video, Vikas is heard stating, “If a man’s mood isn’t right, why 35?” He has the ability to cut (a lady) into 36 parts. When the journalist inquired as to where he had received such expertise, the man said, “What training, just take a knife and start chopping.”

The journalist is also heard asking Vikas if he has any expertise with such acts. “Yes, I have experience,” the accused is heard responding. ?I will hack someone up if they dispute with me,” he added. When questioned if Aftab was justified in murdering Shraddha, he said, “It may have been a mistake or the correct thing to do. He just cut it into 35 pieces.”
