Kanpur, 10 April: A man committed suicide by shooting self with a pistol inside his house at Keshav Puram locality of Rawatpur police station area in Kanpur on Wednesday, police said.
The police arrived on the information of the wife and took possession of the body and started investigation.
According to the police prima facie, the matter is related to domestic dispute.
Assistant Police Commissioner Abhishek Kumar Pandey said that a woman resident of Keshav Puram in Rawatpur police station informed that her husband Ankit Aggarwal committed suicide by shooting self inside the house. The police reached the spot after receiving information and started investigation by taking possession of the body. The police also called the forensic team to the spot to investigate the incident. After investigation by the forensic team, the police took legal action by taking the pistol recovered from the spot into their possession.
Police say that during the investigation, prima facie the reason for suicide appears to be domestic dispute.
