Lucknow, December 17: Two trucks collided head-on on Bani Marg in Mohanlalganj area on Sunday early morning. The drivers of both the trucks were injured in the collision, in which one driver died shortly after.
After the incident, people residing around Bani Marg informed Mohanlalganj police station. Due to the accident on the main road, there was a traffic jam witnessed in the morning. As the police arrived at the accident site, the body one truck driver was sent for post-mortem. The injured driver has been sent to the Trauma Center.
To end the jam situation, police took the help of ITBP and BSF personnel. The damaged trucks were removed with the help of cranes. The debris spread on the road was removed with JCB.
According to Inspector in-charge of Mohanlalganj police station, the deceased driver has been identified as Ajit. Efforts are being made to open the main road and bring the situation back to normal.
