Mathura’s Radharani temple prohibits people entering shrine in objectionable attire

Mathura, June 23: The Radharani temple at Barsana near Mathura has issued an edict prohibiting individuals from entering the shrine in half-pants, bermuda shorts, or small skirts.

On Thursday, a banner was seen plastered outside an Uttar Pradesh temple stating that the order will be in effect in a week.

The temple officials have also prohibited wearing nightgowns or ripped jeans inside the premises.

On June 21, the administrators of Birua Badi shrine in Budaun district implemented a clothing rule for visitors. The temple forbade the wearing of jeans, t-shirts, nightgowns, ripped jeans, and similar attire.
