Deoband: The first joint rally of SP-BSP-RLD alliance held on Sunday for upcoming Lok Sabha elections at Jamia Tibbiti Medical College in Saharanpur’s Deoband in Uttar Pradesh.

This is first joint rally of SP-BSP for the coming Lok Sabha elections in 25 years in which Samajwadi Party [SP] supremo Akhilesh Yadav, Bahujan Samajwadi Party [BSP] chief Mayawati and Rashtriya Lok Dal[RLD] chief Ajit Singh addressed the meeting just days before Saharanpur and seven other constituencies will go to the polls in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 11.

Attacking on Modi government, Mayawati said Modi and even Yogi need to be removed from the power. She said, “Removing Narendra Modi from the post of Prime Minister is not enough, even Yogi as well needs to be shown the door.”

Mayawati continued saying that due to demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax [GST] small scale traders, middle class families, labourers have suffered a lot. Many people died in the queue at the time of the note ban.

Playing the communal card, Mayawati appealed the members of the minorities especially Muslims not to get divided and vote for the gathbandhan.

“If Muslims want to defeat Bharatiya Janta Party in the coming elections, they must get united and vote enmass for gathbandhan. Members of the minority community should stand together at the time voting.”

Mayawati also mocked at the Congress party’s scheme to deposit Rs 6000 per month in the account of 20% poor families. “Congress party is really serious in rooting out poverty by giving Rs 6000. If we come to power, we will not only give Rs 6000 but also will create employment opportunities to every citizen” She said in Deoband

In the rally of mahagathbandhan, SP chief, Akhilesh Yadav took the stage and launched fiercely attack on Modi. He said, “BJP is only spreading hatred across the country. They failed to fullfill the promises they had made in the 2014. First we trusted him as a ‘Chai Wala’ in 2014 and now he is ‘Chowkidar’ in 2019.”

Akhilesh Yadav said, “They call mahagathbandhan , a milawati gathbandhan, but it is not a milawati gathbandhan. This gathbandhan is for mahaparivartan [great transformation]. This gathbandhan will choose new Prime Minister who will work for the poor”.

Striking the right chord of communal harmony, Akhilesh Yadav said that Mata Shakumbhari Devi temple is situated in Saharanpur whereas Darul Uloom in Deoband.

Attacking on Congress party as well, SP chief said that Congress party is engaged in strengthening its roots in Uttar Pradesh. However they are least concern about the development of the country.

Ajit Singh of RLD referred Mayawati as the leader of the nation.

Ajit Singh said, “Where is ‘acche din’? Even Modi is searching for ‘acche din’ but his ‘acche din’ has definitely come.

RLD leader accused the Prime Minister of lying to people over jobs and poverty eradication schemes. “Modi’s parents never taught him to speak the truth,” Singh said in a personal remark over Prime Minister Narendra Modi
