Mumbai, March 23: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in Nashik on Sunday that a ‘Mela law’ will be made on the lines of Uttar Pradesh for the Simhastha Kumbh to be held in 2027. Along with this, arrangements will also be made to keep the water of Godavari clean during the Kumbh Mela.
The Chief Minister outlined the action plan after reviewing the preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela today.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Nashik district on Sunday. This time he visited the Trimbakeshwar temple. He also inspected the Kushavarta pilgrimage site.
After this, Devendra Fadnavis said that a development plan has been prepared for Trimbakeshwar. Nashik and Trimbakeshwar should be developed on the occasion of Kumbh Mela. People come here from all over the country. Therefore, corridors will be constructed here, parking, toilets, temples and ponds will be repaired. Natural paths will be built in Gaya Brahmagiri area. A plan has been prepared to ensure the purity of water by creating a network of STPs.
He stated that in any case, efforts will be made to complete the work of Simhastha before the Kumbh Mela. A huge amount of money will be required for this work. The state government has decided that the necessary funds will be made available for this work.
The saints of Trimbak have demanded that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis take responsibility of the Kumbh Mela. When asked about this, he said that being the Chief Minister, it is my responsibility, so on the lines of the Kumbh held recently in Uttar Pradesh, I am also giving it a legal framework by creating a Mela Authority.
After inspecting the Kushavarta Tirtha, he expressed his displeasure over the water there.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this Kumbh Mela is held at both Nashik and Trimbak, but the importance of Trimbakeshwar is unique. There is a Shivling in Trimbakeshwar, where Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are seated together. Therefore, Trimbakeshwar has a very high place in our entire spiritual system.
