The night curfew timings have been changed as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for Lockdown-5 on Saturday and now it shall remain in force from 9 pm to 5 am.

At the same time, if the shopping malls and restaurants will be able to open outside the Containment Zone from June 8, then religious places will also be opened with conditions.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that the new guidelines have been issued on the basis of extensive consultations with states and union territories.

Significantly, the fourth phase of the lockdown ends on May 31. In view of this, the government has issued the guidelines of lockdown-5 to prevent the spread of corona infection.

As per the new guidelines, all the activities which were hitherto banned outside the Containment Zone will be resumed, but will be done in a phased manner.

Though, this relaxation will be given in three stages. Under this, religious places and public places of worship, hotels, restaurants and other services and shopping malls in the first phase will be opened from June 8, 2020, but the conditions will also remain with it. The lockdown will only be in the Containment Zone.

Apart from this, there will be a night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am, but no curfew will be applicable for essential services. Earlier there was a curfew from 7 pm to 7 am.

In the second phase, the government will take a decision on the opening of school-colleges and educational institutions later. But the ban on moving from one state to another has been completely lifted. Not only this, people will also be able to go from one district to another in the state.

However, for this they have to follow social distancing. There will be no need to seek any permission before commuting somewhere.

In the third phase, decision will be taken on the basis of assessment of the situation to open international air travel, operation of metro rail, cinema hall, gymnasium, swimming pool, amusement park etc.
