New Delhi, March 27: Power workers across the country are going on strike in protest against the privatization policy of the Central Government.
Hence, in protest against this strike, the Ministry of Power has issued an advisory and given strict instructions. The ministry says that this should not affect the power distribution service.
The Ministry of Power has directed the States, Central Electricity Authorities (CEA), State Load Despatch Centers (SLDCs), all Regional Power Centers (RPCs), CPSUs (CPSUs), NLDCs (NLDCs) and Regional Load Despatch Centers (RLDCs) from March 28 to 30. An advisory has been issued to ensure the maintenance and reliability of the electricity grid during the strike called by the National Convention of Workers.
The Ministry advised that necessary measures be taken to ensure round the clock normal functioning of the power grid and availability of all plants, transmission lines and substations.
