New Delhi, January 4: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to give policy basis to the urban development of the country. Modi government has done infrastructure work worth Rs 68 thousand crore in Delhi in 10 years.
Amit Shah was addressing the people present after inaugurating the hostel ‘Sushma Bhawan’ for working women and Advanced Animal Care Center in New Delhi. The hostel is named after former External Affairs Minister and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj. On this occasion,

Referring to the various development works in the NDMC area, Shah said that after assuming the post of Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra Modi has worked to give a policy basis to the urban development of the country. He said that this building is an example of the Prime Minister’s urban development.

Rs 41 thousand crore was spent on road construction, Rs 15 thousand crore on railway works, Rs 12 thousand crore on airport and services around it. Delhi-Meerut Expressway can now reach in just 45 minutes. Rs 8 thousand crore was spent. A high speed corridor is being built to turn the 24-hour journey of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway into 12 hours. Dwarka Expressway is being built at a cost of Rs 7500 crore. Eastern Peripheral Way is being built at a cost of 11 thousand crore. It was completed in 500 days. Under PM Uday, the process of regularizing 1731 colonies was started and ownership rights were given to 40 lakh poor people. Flats for slum dwellers, 29 thousand houses have been built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Urban Scheme. Three thousand EWS flats were built in in-situ slums at a cost of 356 crores.
