Amaravati, 17 March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the big National Democratic Alliance rally ‘Prajagalam,’ (voice of the public), in Palnadu district on Sunday evening, the first combined public assembly of NDA allies in Andhra Pradesh in 10 years.
Modi will be accompanied by TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena president Pawan Kalyan in a public gathering, marking the first time all three leaders would share the platform in a rally for the 2024 elections.
The Prajagalam gathering will be the first NDA electoral conference in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the simultaneous Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections on May 13.
Janasena stated that Prajagalam aims to rid Andhra Pradesh of its heinous politics in order to build a brighter future. The TDP, Janasena, and BJP are mobilising significant numbers of cadres for the conference.
In preparation for the meeting, the TDP produced a unique logo showing Modi, Naidu, and Kalyan. Following a marathon discussion at Naidu’s Andhra Pradesh residence in Undavalli on March 11, the NDA partners finalised their seat-sharing formula for the Lok Sabha and state elections. The BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and ten assembly seats, while the TDP will fight in 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats. Janasena, led by Pawan Kalyan, will fight two Lok Sabha seats and 21 assembly seats. Naidu has revealed the names of 128 candidates for the assembly elections, with 16 more expected to be announced soon.
So far, Janasena has declared seven candidates, including Kalyan, who would run for assembly in Pithapuram. The BJP has yet to release its list of candidates for elections.
Naidu said a few days ago that, under PM Modi’s energetic and imaginative leadership, the BJP, Janasena, and TDP had chosen to contest the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh jointly. ?We are devoted to Andhra Pradesh’s prosperity and development, as well as the empowerment of our state’s people. We are committed to our country’s development, and we want India to become a global leader,” he added.
According to Naidu, the NDA partners agreed to prioritize the state’s interests and future as a main driving force in seat-sharing negotiations. According to the TDP’s timetable, Modi is likely to arrive at Gannavaram Airport at 4.10 p.m. after taking a special flight from Delhi.
The Prime Minister will fly by helicopter from Gannavaram Airport to Palnadu district, arriving at the meeting location in Boppudi village about 5 p.m. The prime minister will attend the election gathering from 5 to 6 p.m., and then travel for Hyderabad.
