New Delhi, 02 May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday arrived in Berlin on the first leg of his three-day Europe tour, where he was warmly welcomed by the Indian Diaspora.
The Prime Minister accepted the Indian community’s welcome with folded hands. During this, an Indian-origin boy recited a patriotic song to the Prime Minister, which he praised. At the same time, an Indian-origin girl handed over her painting to the Prime Minister as a gift.
The Prime Minister has given information about his arrival in Germany by tweeting. He wrote that it is still morning in Berlin, but many people from the Indian community have reached there. It was wonderful talking to him. India is proud of what our diaspora has achieved.
In another tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Have to land in Berlin. Today I will speak to Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Interact with business leaders and address a community event. I am sure this visit will promote friendship between India and Germany.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin today. The two leaders will also co-chair the 6th edition of the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC). Prime Minister and Chancellor Scholz will also address a business event jointly during their visit.
