New Delhi, 01 February: Terming the Union Budget 2022-23 as a boost to the economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it will create many new opportunities for the common man.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reacting after the presentation of the budget in Parliament on Tuesday, said that this budget has brought a new confidence of development in the midst of a terrible disaster of 100 years.
He said that the budget would strengthen the economy and create many new opportunities for the common man. He said that this budget is full of potential for more infrastructure, investment, growth, and new jobs.
Modi said that this budget will also open up the field of green jobs. He said that an important aspect of this budget is the welfare of the poor. Every poor person should have a pucca house, water from tap, toilet, gas facility; all these have been given special attention.
The Prime Minister said that there is an equal emphasis on modern internet connectivity in the budget. For the first time in the country, the Parvatmala scheme is being started for such areas as Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and North East. This plan will create a modern system of transportation on the mountains.
Modi said that an important step has been taken for the welfare of farmers along with the faith of the people of India, cleanliness of Mother Ganga. Along with this, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, along the Ganges, natural farming will be encouraged in these five states. He said that along with record increase in credit guarantee, many other schemes have been announced in this budget.
The Prime Minister said that India’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will also get a huge benefit of securing 68 percent of the defense capital budget for the domestic industry. Appreciating the budget, he congratulated the Finance Minister and her team.
He also informed that he will have a detailed discussion on the budget in the BJP program on Wednesday.
