Saharanpur, 15 Dec: An ulema from a madrasa was detained on Thursday for regularly sodomising a 12-year-old child in Delhi’s Sarai Rohilla district, an official said. Mohd Isran, a 24-year-old man, was apprehended from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Since August 2021, the youngster has been enrolled at Al-Jamiatul Islaniatul Arabia Qasimul-Uloom Madrasa. On December 14, a case was recorded at Sarai Rohilla police station under sections 377 (unnatural crimes) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The youngster said in a FIR filed at Subzi Mandi police station that Irfan used to come to his room about midnight every second or third day and take him to his room. “He used to render me asleep, strip me, and then do bad things to me,” the kid stated in the FIR.
The offender has been apprehended, according to Sagar Singh Kalsi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North). “His assaults used to leave me screaming in agony. He would scare me not to expose anything to anyone,? the youngster alleged in the FIR. The boy went to his home after being victimised again on December 7 and 8. The parents sought the police after seeing their kid seemed gloomy and withdrawn.
