What is the plot?
The story of the film “Merry Christmas” is of the night of 24th December, a day before Christmas. On Christmas night, a boy named Albert (Vijay Sethupathi) returns to Mumbai after seven years. At this time he meets his neighbor and after some time goes out to celebrate Christmas. He sees a girl named Albert Maria (Katrina Kaif) sitting alone with her daughter in a restaurant. Albert pursues Maria and then tries to talk to her. Gradually they become friends and Maria invites him to her home for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Albert and Maria have a lot of dancing, drinking and talking about their past. However, in the meanwhile something happens, which changes their lives forever.
How is the acting?
While watching the film ‘Merry Christmas’, actor Vijay Sethupathi does not feel at all that he is playing a character. He himself seems to be the hero of this story. His dialogues, one liners, expressions… everything is amazing. Katrina has also done a great job with Vijay, but she could not match Jeet.
Apart from this, Sanjay Kapoor, Tinu Anand, Vinay Pathak, Ashwini Kalsekar and Pratima Kazmi have also played their characters well. The story and nuances of the film keep the audience engaged till the end.
