The film ‘Chhaava’, ( lion’s cub) which everyone was eagerly waiting for the last several days, has finally been released in theaters. Vicky Kaushal’s brilliant acting and amazing dialogue delivery and the history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has been highlighted in this film.

Strong historical background story

The film begins with the news of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s death. Aurangzeb is pleased with this, but then Shivaji’s Chhaava comes and challenges him. The film shows events from Sambhaji Maharaj’s coronation to Aurangzeb’s imprisonment of him in a rapid manner. The director has faced a challenge in presenting such a long period and events effectively. The film moves at a slow pace till the middle, but after that it seems that the film is taking a big leap. This film will take you to the time of Sambhaji Maharaj. The dialogues and some scenes of the film are definitely heart-wrenching. Naturally tears come to your eyes. The strong point of the film is that cinematic liberty has been taken in very few places. There is no exaggeration of any kind in the film.

Acting to bring alive the characters

In this film, Vicky Kaushal has played the character of Sambhaji Maharaj with such authenticity and depth that he has literally brought his own life to this role. His performance has not only brought alive the valor and sensitivity of Sambhaji Maharaj, but he has also succeeded in taking the audience back to that era. It would not be an exaggeration at all to say that Vicky Kaushal has not only lived up to the expectations of the audience, but he has immortalized this character with his brilliant acting. His emotional and powerful performance has made the film even more memorable.

In the film, Akshay Khanna has played the role of Aurangzeb with such depth and liveliness that this performance is likely to be imprinted in the minds of the audience. He has presented Aurangzeb’s sharp personality, clever strategies, and ruthless nature in such detail that he emerges as a complex and impressive character, not just a villain. Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Yesubai, has also tried her best to do justice to the role. Through the film, a different side of the relationship between Sambhaji Maharaj and Yesubai is seen. Many Marathi actors will be seen in this film. Everyone has done justice to their role.

Excellent direction

The film ‘Chhaava’ is directed by Laxman Utekar, who has previously directed excellent films like Hindi Medium, Luka Chuppi, and Mimi, but this time he has taken his talent to a new dimension by making a film on a great warrior of history.

Melodious music

AR Rahman has given music in the film ‘Chava’, which seamlessly matches the atmosphere and historical background of the film. His music score clearly reflects epicness and emotional depth, but it could have been even more impressive.

Negative and positive aspects of the film

Since the plot of the film Chhava is long, some events are not referenced and the film moves forward rapidly after the interval. The positive side of this film is that this is the first time such a grand film has been made on Sambhaji Maharaj. After watching this film, you will feel a unique experience and emotion. The story of the film and the acting of the actors were strong.
