‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyam Vikas Yojana’ will promote the young entrepreneurs in UP: CM Yogi

Lucknow, 16 August: The Yogi government, which is rapidly moving towards the goal of making Uttar Pradesh an ‘Enterprise State’ and making the state an economy of 1 trillion dollars, is now working on a detailed framework for setting up new micro enterprises in the state.

According to the vision of CM Yogi, ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyam Vikas Yojana’ is being implemented to create and promote new opportunities for micro enterprises and self-employment in the state.

It is noteworthy that while announcing this scheme in the 78th Independence Day celebrations,

CM Yogi has set a target of providing financial assistance to 10 lakh MSME units in 10 years. On one hand, this scheme will be meaningful in the direction of economically empowering the youth willing to set up enterprises and self-employment instead of jobs , on the other hand, it will pave the way for the establishment of 1 lakh new micro industries in the state every year. Overall, this will provide employment opportunities for more than 50 lakh youth in the state , which will give impetus to the development of new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the state.

It is noteworthy that as per the wishes of CM Yogi , a budget of one thousand crore rupees has been approved for the establishment, operation and promotion of micro units in the state for the financial year 2024-25. The scheme will become a medium to provide loans to one lakh youth annually . 

Chief Minister Yogi, while announcing the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyam Vikas Yojana’ in the Independence Day celebrations, called the youth the axis of India’s development.

He had emphasized that our youth is talented, full of energy and the contribution of these youth is very important for the creation of a developed India. For this, the state government is paying special attention to education and employment. In such a situation, under the scheme, financial grants will be given to one lakh youth every year by getting loans from banks, which will pave the way for the establishment of one lakh micro enterprises in the state every year. Thus, a target has been set to connect 10 lakh youth with micro industries and self-employment in the next 10 years and this will provide employment opportunities to more than 50 lakh youth in total. Subsidy will also be available on margin money.

Residents of the state between 21 and 40 years of age will get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Yojana. Under the scheme, the minimum educational eligibility has been kept as 8th pass or equivalent. Also, preference will be given to skill related certificate courses, diploma and degree holders. There is a provision in the scheme to give grants for setting up enterprises to women Divyangjan and men and women of OBC, SC and ST categories along with the general category.

Not only this, the Chief Minister has also given instructions to give subsidy on margin money. The application process will be received through online medium and sent to the banks. Provision of grant on digital transaction In the second phase, there is a provision of maximum Rs 10 lakh in the industry and service sector. The facility of loan interest subsidy and CGTMSE coverage will also be made available.

At the same time, special incentives will be given on digital transactions. The scheme will be implemented in mission mode The implementation of the scheme will be implemented in mission mode in which the District Program Management Unit at the district level, State Program Management Unit at the state level, State Level Executive Committee at the higher level and State Level Governing Committee will ensure the implementation of the scheme.
