Mumbai: Couple, daughter booked for forging Covid-19 report

Mumbai, 10 March: A case has been registered at Khar police station against three members of the same family who were tried to travel by air by tampering with the Corona positive report.

However, the police team is investigating the case.

According to BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Assistant Commissioner Omprakash Jaiswal, on February 26, Laxmichandra Thawani (53), his wife Leena Thawani (51) and daughter Diya Thawani got the corona test done and their test reports came to Covid positive, but all three manipulated the report to make it negative and had arrived at the Mumbai airport to fly to Jaipur by plane.

Meanwhile, officers at the airport have come to know that the coronavirus reports of three were tampered after which their air travel was cancelled.

Based on the information received after this, the BMC has registered a case against the three on Tuesday night. The investigation of the case is going on.
