Mumbai, 16 October: Mumbai Airport (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport) will remain closed for 6 hours from 11 am to 5 pm on October 17 for runway repair work.
No flights will operate from Mumbai airport during these six hours. The airport authority has appealed to the passengers to cooperate.
According to airport officials, the primary objective of this planned temporary closure of Mumbai airport is to improve the airport infrastructure and keep it at its best. Necessary repair and maintenance work will be done during this period.
Besides, both the runways of Mumbai airport will also be repaired. In this regard, a notice has been issued six months in advance to the air forces, airlines and other concerned. After the repair of the runway, flight services of Mumbai Airport can be started after 5 pm on Tuesday.
