Mumbai police arrests a man for ‘bomb’ threat in Mumbai-Lucknow Indigo flight

Mumbai, January 27: The Mumbai police has arrested the accused who spread the rumor about a bomb being planted in the Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Lucknow, the police said.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ayub. The team of Airport Police Station is thoroughly interrogating the accused. 

According to the police, Mohammad Ayub told the flight personnel about the presence of a bomb under the seat in the Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Lucknow on Saturday. After this, an atmosphere of panic spread among the passengers. 

As soon as this information was received, the police and bomb disposal squad (BDS) team reached the spot and searched every nook and corner of the flight. But the security personnel felt relieved after no bomb was found. After this, the police registered a case against the passenger under sections 506(2) and 505(1)(B) of the IPC and arrested him.
