Mumbai police contacts Haryana and UP police in Baba Siddiqui murder case

Mumbai, October 13: The Mumbai Police has contacted the Haryana and UP Police after the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Gang was named in the murder of NCP (AP) leader Baba Siddiqui in the east. The STF of Haryana and UP Police is probing the activities and criminal history of the two arrested suspects.

Meanwhile, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has also joined the investigation into Baba Siddiqui’s murder. A team of Delhi Police will come to Mumbai for investigation.

Gurmail Singh is from Haryana and Dharmaraj Kashyap is from Uttar Pradesh who have been arrested in this case. These two had taken over Baba Siddiqui’s house and office and they were staying in Mumbai for one and a half to two months and keeping an eye on him. The third accused in this case, Shivkumar Gautam alias Shiva, is a resident of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, the search for him is on.

As per sources, several teams of Mumbai Crime Branch are investigating this case. In connection with the incident at Nirmal Nagar Police Station under Crime Registration No. 589/2024 under Sections 103(1), 109, 125 and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code as well as Sections 3, 25, 5 and 27 of the Arms Act and Maharashtra A case has been registered under Section 37 and 137 of the Police Act.

Senior officials of the Mumbai Crime Branch are interrogating the two arrested accused for the last 8 hours. Investigations so far have revealed that they were paid in advance for this work. Also, two of them had rented a house in Kurla and were living there for the past one month. Among them, Shiv Kumar and Dharmaraj Kashyap also worked as scrap dealers in Pune. The police have treated both the accused at the GT Hospital in Mumbai and are preparing to send them to the court.
