Varanasi, 12 November: Muslim women performed ‘aarti’ of Lord Ram, sang bhajans and wrote Shri Ram in Urdu and lit earthen lamps on the Hindu festival Deepawali.

By offering flowers to Lord Ram, Ma Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman , the message of communal harmony and peace was given to the world.

At Subhash Bhawan in Lamhi, Muslim women gathered under the joint banner of Muslim Mahila Foundation and Vishal Bharat Sansthan performed the aarti of Lord Ram under the guidance of Nazneen Ansari who translated Hanuman Chalisa in Urdu.

On this occasion, the women said that our ancestors have been worshiping Lord Ram, so how can they leave it. Muslim women, who consider Lord Ram as their ancestor, are messengers of peace and unity, who strive to eliminate the darkness of hatred and violence with the light of Ram Naam.

After the Sankat Mochan bomb blast in 2006, Muslim women have been continuously giving the message of peace, unity and goodwill by performing the Aarti of Lord Ram.
It is worth noted that several times terrorists and fundamentalists threatened to stop the Aarti, but Muslim women never hesitate nor were afraid of threats.

National President of Foundation Nazneen Ansari said that Lord Ram is our ancestor. We can change religion, but our ancestors cannot change. The darkness of unrighteousness vanishes with the light of Ram’s name, there is a need to spread the name of Ram everywhere. Those who are away from Ram are forced to resort to violence.

While quoting recent war between Palestine and Israel, she said that both the countries are shedding blood among themselves, both need to follow the path of Lord Ram, only then peace can come. I am writing a letter to Muslim countries asking them to install the statue of Shri Ram in their country and make his great sacrifice an ideal for their country. Only ‘Ramrajya’ can take the world towards peace.
