Hooghly, 30 April: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Hooghly Lok Sabha seat Locket Chatterjee on Tuesday filed her nomination for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 at the office of the District Magistrate of Hooghly. After filing the nomination, Locket Chatterjee said, ”This time my victory margin will be double.”

In fact, Locket Chatterjee won the Hooghly Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 73,362 votes in the last Lok Sabha elections. This time Locket Chatterjee’s victory margin will be about one and a half lakh votes.

Locket further said, ”The people of Hooghly are troubled by the corruption of TMC people. The amount of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is not going to the account of the right beneficiary but to the account of another person. But the Center is being told that the right beneficiary has received the money. In the case of the SSC scam, about 22,000 people lost their jobs in the process of saving the jobs of some ineligible people. Mamata Banerjee is responsible for all this. If she had given the list of ineligible candidates, the jobs of the rest could have been saved. But they also burnt the OMR sheet. People will vote against it.”

Locket Chatterjee further said, ”Despite the model code of conduct, our posters and banners are being torn. TMC goons are tearing our banners in the darkness of the night. Even after complaining to the Election Commission, these sorts of things continue.”
