New Delhi, 28 January: The Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine trial has been approved. On Friday, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the testing of Bharat Biotech’s Nasal Vaccine. This vaccine will be used as a booster dose. This test will be done at nine places acros the country.
According to the DCGI, its trial will be done on about 900 people. This vaccine will be given as a precautionary dose to only those people who have already taken Covashield or Covaxin.
โThe Bharat Biotech had sought permission for the trial about three weeks ago to the Drug Controller’s Subject Expert Committee and the data submitted in this regard was sent. This vaccine, given through the nose, will help people in prevention against corona,โ as per DCGI.
