New Delhi, 16 August: A grateful nation remembered Bharat Ratna on the fourth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Senior BJP leaders, including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda, paid floral tributes by reaching “Sadaiva Atal”, the memorial of the late leader.
The BJP tweeted on the death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said that the father of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the mentor of crores of workers and our source of inspiration, the former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna, the heartfelt tribute on the death anniversary of the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji.
Apart from this, Namita Kaul Bhattacharya, adopted daughter of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, paid floral tribute at the “Sadaiva Atal” memorial. Also, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary.
Vajpayee has been Prime Minister of the country thrice. In the year 2014, he was given the country’s highest honour, the “Bharat Ratna”. He passed away on August 16, 2018, after a prolonged illness. Apart from his long political career, he has also been popular for his poetry, cheerful mood, and different styles.
