Netflix removes Nayanthara’s ‘Annapoornani’ after ‘love-jihad’ and ‘Lord Ram-a meat eater’ controversies

South film industry’s famous actress Nayanthara’s film ‘Annapoorani’ has been surrounded by controversies for the last few days. The film has been facing opposition ever since its release on OTT platform Netflix.

‘Boycott Netflix’ has become a trend on social media for the past few days regarding the film ‘Annapoorani’. After the controversy regarding the film ‘Annapoorani’, Netflix has now taken a big decision.

Netflix has removed the film ‘Annapoorani’ from its platform. Many accused the film of having objectionable dialogues about Lord Ram, which has hurt religious sentiments. After this, Netflix has removed the film ‘Annapoorani’ from its platform.

The whole matter:

Many people criticized the film ‘Annapoorani’ regarding the dialogue “Ram was non-vegetarian”. FIR has been registered against this film in Mumbai and Jabalpur.

A Hindu organization in Jabalpur has filed an FIR against the entire star cast, producer and director of the film. Some people allege that there are many such scenes in the film ‘Annapoorani’, which hurt the sentiments of Hindus by making inappropriate remarks against Lord Shri Ram. Ram Solanki has filed a complaint against the film team.

Alleging that the film ‘Annapoorani’ has hurt the sentiments of Hindus, many netizens made several tweets and demanded a boycott of OTT platform Netflix.

A netizen tweeted, “Netflix India we are giving you a stern warning. Remove this movie immediately or be prepared to face legal consequences.” Seeing the outrage of netizens on social media, Netflix has now removed the film from its OTT platform.
