New Delhi, January 11: Ahead of the general elections, the Election Commission on Thursday organised a conference with Chief Electoral Officers of all States and union Territories at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, New Delhi.
According to the Commission, a new version of the ECI website was also launched on this occasion. The ECI website has been redesigned for a better experience and easier access to information, focusing on all stakeholders.
The website has a dedicated section where voters, political parties, and candidates can access all the relevant information, services, IT platforms, and apps designed for their convenience in one place.
According to the Commission, a two-day conference is being organised from January 11?12 to share experiences and learnings from the recently held state assembly elections in 2023. There will also be thematic discussions on election planning, expenditure monitoring, voter lists, IT applications, data management, EVM/VVPAT, sweep strategy, media, and communication.
CEC Rajiv Kumar appreciated the CEOs of the poll-bound states for successfully conducting free, fair, participatory, peaceful, and inducement-free elections.
