Saharanpur, 12 December: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and police have detained two suspected foreign nationals in a joint operation in Deoband of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. This action was taken in Mohalla Badjiaulhaq of Deoband, where both the suspected foreign nationals were living for a long time.

According to sources, both the arrested are citizens of Myanmar. They were living in India without passport and visa. This matter is serious from the point of view of security of the country because the presence of foreign nationals without valid documents can threaten national security.

The NIA and local police teams carried out this action in a confidential manner and have detained both the suspects and started interrogation at an unknown place.

Deoband, which has been in the headlines for suspicious activities earlier, is once again on the radar of security agencies. This raid is considered important amid reports of the presence of Bangladeshi and other foreign nationals.

Sources said that the NIA and police are investigating when and how these citizens came to India, whether they have any links with any terrorist organization. More information will be revealed in this case only after raids and interrogation. This operation is being seen as a major success of the security agencies.
