Patna, August 09 (HS): The five-year-old BJP-JDU alliance in Bihar broke on Tuesday. With this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to Governor Fagu Chauhan. Along with this, he also presented the claim of forming the government of the Grand Alliance by giving the letter of support of 160 MLAs of the RJD, JDU, Congress and Left parties to the Governor.
After the consensus was reached in the JDU meeting at 11 a.m. today, the CM went to the Raj Bhavan 20 minutes before 4 o’clock and submitted his resignation letter to the Governor. On the other hand, the meeting of the RJD Legislature Party started at 11 o’clock in which the Congress and the Left parties talked of giving full support, considering Tejashwi Yadav as the leader.
After submitting his resignation to the Bihar Governor, JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar said that all the MPs and MLAs are of the consensus that we should leave the NDA. Soon after, he resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar. Asked what the problem was with the BJP, Nitish Kumar said that he would answer this question later. After this, they left for Rabri Devi’s residence directly from there. A large number of workers were present at Rabri Devi’s residence.
It is being said that there will be two deputy chief ministers from Congress and RJD in the new government. However, the Grand Alliance made it clear that they considered Nitish Kumar as the leader.
Reacting to all these developments, State BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal said that the people of Bihar and the BJP have been betrayed by Nitish Kumar. He said that what is the difference between 2017 and now. Nitish Kumar should answer it. Sanjay Jaiswal said that in 2020, they will fight the elections together under the NDA. Even after winning fewer seats, the BJP made Nitish Kumar the CM at the behest of PM Modi. Nitish Kumar has also expressed regret for breaking the alliance in 2017.
Chirag Paswan, LJP Ram Vilas Party President and Jamui MP, said that today Nitish Kumar’s credibility is zero. We want the President’s rule to be implemented in Bihar and the state should get a fresh mandate. Nitish Kumar has no ideology. JD(U) will get zero seats in the next election.
Lalu’s daughter Chanda reacted by sharing a picture of her brother Tejashwi Yadav. He wrote in the picture?”Tejaswi Bhava: Bihar”. The way Tejashwi’s picture is attached to it, it is certain that the role of Lalu’s younger son, Lal, is going to be important in the new government.
