New Delhi, March 28: There will be no change of guard (CoG) ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday (March 30) due to the Bharat Ratna conferment ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
An official statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday said that due to the Bharat Ratna presentation ceremony, there will be no change of guard ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan this Saturday (30 March).
It is noteworthy that the changing of the guard ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan is a military tradition. It is held every week on Saturday to allow a new group of President’s body guards to take charge.
