New Delhi, Sept.14 :The importance of Aadhaar card is increasing day by day. Aadhaar is required to avail any government scheme. For updating Aadhaar in case of phone number, email ID, photo, finger print and eye scanning, no proof is needed.
To update any information other than the address in Aadhaar, one has to visit the Aadhaar center. If you want to get a new Aadhaar card or get details updated, then online appointment can be taken. UIDAI has started online appointment booking facility on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras at the Aadhaar Service Centers (ASKs) operated by them. UIDAI has given information about this through tweet.
Aadhaar card online, you must have the mobile number, which you had registered with the Aadhaar number. Because OTP will be sent to the mobile number during the process of update. If you do not have that mobile number, then go to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center and get it updated. Only then you will be able to update your Aadhaar card online.
There can be only one option of date of birth update , birth date and gender can be updated only 1 time in Aadhaar. In order to update the date of birth, you have to go to the Aadhaar center as proof of this with valid documents.
