Jodhpur, 08 December: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said at the BSF Foundation Day celebrations on Sunday that the Border Security Force (BSF) is known as the ‘First Line of Defense’. It is because of them that the belief of an invincible India has been born in the hearts of 140 crore Indians. The entire credit for this goes to the BSF jawans standing on the border and no one has the right to question them.

He said that whenever there is information of any untoward incident from the border, the Home Minister is not worried at all. There is this confidence that our BSF jawans will deal with it.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the 60th Foundation Day (Rising Day) parade of the Border Security Force in Jodhpur on Sunday. He inspected the parade.

The Home Minister was brought to the main stage of the parade ground at STC in a BSF jeep in the morning. The Home Minister said that the jawan spends the golden period of his life in an environment ranging from minus 43 degrees to plus 43 degrees. You are neither able to take care of children nor serve your old parents. You have performed your duty even in the scorching desert, dense forests and snow.

Amit Shah admired and said that when the country is sleeping, you serve the country as the first line. Your sacrifice makes us realize that India is invincible. No one can defeat it.

The Home Minister said that the problem of drones is going to deepen in the coming times. In such a situation, all the Border Security Forces, Defense Department, DRDO and all the security departments of the country have together developed a laser-equipped gun mount anti-drone system. It has been started on an experimental level. Its primary results have been very good. This has prevented 55 attacks on the Punjab border.

He said that we have started the Vibrant Village program on an experimental basis in three thousand villages. The country’s first National Coastal Police Academy has been established by the Border Security Force in Okha (Gujarat). Training of both the state police and the Border Security Force deployed to protect our water borders is being done here. Along with this, we have brought a comprehensive security system in sensitive areas.

Shah stated on the occasion that the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System has been started in Dhubri (Assam) as a pilot project in the BSF. It will be installed on the border of Pakistan and Bangladesh. A large amount is being given to strengthen the border infrastructure.

Shah said that in 2024, the BSF has made a record of fighting against counterfeit currency, narcotics, infiltration and left wing extremism. I am confident that you will continue to do all these works in future as well. The Government of India has given a huge amount in every budget to strengthen the border infrastructure.

Amit Shah added 591 km of fencing has been done on the Bangladesh border, flood lights have been installed on 1129 km. Efforts have been made to increase the connectivity of villages in remote areas.

Vibrant Village has been started on the border. Many Vibrant Villages (equipped with special facilities) have been built in the northern border. This has ended the problem of migration. Gallantry medals and PPMDS trophies were given in the parade.

Many honors including four gallantry medals, one life saving, six police service medals and General Chaudhary Trophy were given.

Earlier, BSF jawans demonstrated their discipline and unity by marching in front of Home Minister Amit Shah.

BSF jawans displayed weapons just behind the parade. In this, ground-to-ground missiles and anti-drone technology were demonstrated.

Before the parade, the indigenous helicopter Dhruv of the BSF wing took stock of the security from the sky.
