Noida, 17 Aug: Passengers who do not have change to purchase tickets on the Noida Metro may now save bother by using the UPI payment feature available at all rail network stations.
Lokesh M, Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), launched the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment service at the Sector 51 metro station on Thursday.

“The UPI facility for purchasing tickets from counters is now functional at all stations along the Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor,” an NMRC official said.
The usage of cash, credit and debit cards at the counter or the NMRC smart card at the customer service centre at stations would continue as usual, according to the official. The Aqua Line, built at a cost of Rs 5,503 crore, connects the twin towns of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar across a distance of 29.7 km with 21 stops.
