Lucknow, 13 December: The stay imposed on Monday by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on the notification of the state’s municipal elections will continue till Wednesday.
The division bench headed by Justice DK Upadhyay gave this order on a PIL filed accusing the state government of not following the procedure in implementing OBC reservations in municipal elections.
During the hearing held on Tuesday, a demand was made by the state government to give one day more time to reply, which was accepted by the court.
