Lucknow, 13 Jan: A delegation led by State President of Akhil Bharatvarshiya Yadav Mahasabha Arun Yadav has paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
During this, various issues related to Yadav community were put before him. The Mahasabha mainly sought the support of Chief Minister Yogi on the demand made to the Government of India for the formation of Ahir Regiment.
On this, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that he will write a letter to the Government of India in support of the formation of the Ahir Regiment, that in view of the sacrifices made by the soldiers of the Yadav community in the defense of the country, the Ahir Regiment should be formed.
Delegation raised the issue of deliberate and malicious harassment of people of Yadav community by some administrative officials and powerful people in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.
On this, the Chief Minister asked the Mahasabha to bring such matters to the notice of the Chief Minister’s Office and assured that there will be no discrimination of any kind against the Yadav community.
The Chief Minister also assured the Mahasabha of all possible help for works of public interest.
Apart from State Executive President Arun Yadav, National General Secretary Manoj Yadav, Virendra Pal Singh Yadav, State Vice President, Shalini Yadav Member Executive, Dinesh Yadav State General Secretary and Ajay Pratap Yadav Youth General Secretary were included in the delegation.
