Dehradun, April 10: Online booking for Pujas to be held in Shri Badrinath Dham and Shri Kedarnath Dham for the upcoming Chardham Yatra has started from today on the official website of the temple committee.
Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal has given the above information on Thursday.
Chief Executive Officer Thapliyal said that this year the doors of Badrinath Dham are opening on May 4 and the doors of Kedarnath Dham are opening on May 2. Along with this, the temple committee has started booking for morning, evening and long duration Poojas to be held in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham through its website www.badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in from today. Devotees can book Puja till 30 June.
He said that the fee for the puja has been kept as before, there has been no increase in it.
BKTC media in-charge Dr Harish Gaur gave detailed information and said that the pujas of Badrinath Dham include Abhishek, Maha Abhishek Puja, Ved Path, Geeta Path, Vishnu Sahasranama Puja, Silver Aarti, Gold Aarti, Geet Govind Path Shayan Aarti. Similarly, the pujas of Lord Kedarnath include Rudrabhishek Puja, Laghu Rudrabhishek, Mahamrityunjay Path, Shodashopachara Puja ( 16-step worship in Sanatan Dharma), Evening Aarti etc.
He said that the rates for online pujas of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham are fixed and can be seen on the website of the temple committee. Starting from Thursday, devotees have started booking through the website.
According to Internet Coordinator Deependra Rawat, thirty percent of the pujas for Badrinath Dham and twenty percent of the pujas for Kedarnath are being booked online. So far, 93 people have made bookings, out of which 32 pujas have been booked for Badrinath.
