Only CNG, electric and BS-6 diesel buses should operate in Delhi-NCR from November 1, CAQM issues strict instructions

New Delhi, 20 October: In view of prevention of pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has issued strict instructions regarding the operation of buses plying in Delhi NCR.

In the instructions issued by the Commission after the joint meeting of the states with the Central Government on Friday, it has been said that from November 1, the buses coming to Delhi from Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh should run on electric, CNG and BS6 diesel only.

According to the instructions of the Commission, from November 1, only electric, CNG, VS6 diesel buses should operate between NCR area of Haryana and Delhi.

Along with this, from January 1, 2024, the buses running between non-NCR area of Rajasthan and Delhi should be electric, CNG, BS6 diesel buses only.

Along with this, from April 1, 2024, only electric, CNG, BS6 diesel buses will be operated between eight districts of NCR of Uttar Pradesh.
