Lucknow, 12 March: Over the last 34 days, 295 Astha trains carrying over four lakh devotees have arrived at Ayodhya from all around the country.
According to authorities here, these data are from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Darshan Yatra program, which began on February 6. In this campaign, which began after Ram Lalla’s consecration on January 22, not only did devotees from all across the country visit Ayodhya in 295 trains, but free accommodations and food were provided.
The BJP’s top leadership stayed behind the scenes to watch the whole campaign. Sunday saw the arrival of the last Aastha special train from Rajasthan. However, devotees will go to Ayodhya by bus till March 16, but these busses will return on the same day. The first meeting of the BJP’s top leadership about the campaign took place on January 10.
The entire campaign was overseen by the BJP’s Central Organisation Secretary B L Santhosh and National General Secretary Sunil Bansal, while National General Secretaries Tarun Chugh Bhandare and Vinod Tawde were in charge of organising railway coaches and other facilities.
At the state level, State Vice President Manvendra Singh, State General Secretary Ram Pratap Singh, Regional President Kamlesh Mishra, and Regional General Secretary Vijay Pratap Singh were tasked with overseeing the campaign. The arrival of Aastha special trains began on February 6, as anticipated by the BJP.
According to current data, at least eight lakh devotees have camped in the tent city, with 4,04,117 individuals arriving in Ayodhya via 295 trains. On Sunday, 1,476 Ram enthusiasts arrived at Ayodhya via Rajasthan. However, the tent city of Navya Ayodhya will continue for a few more days so that devotees do not have any difficulties in remaining. Regional General Secretary Vijay Pratap Singh stated that the run of Aastha special trains concluded on Sunday.
During the 34-day campaign, devotees from states like as Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar, and Gujarat travelled to Ayodhya on these 295 special trains.
