Lucknow, March 24: On the occasion of completion of eight years of the state government, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented a detailed blueprint of the development works of his government in a press conference organized at Lok Bhavan on Monday.
During this, “Ek Jhalak” report card documentary was shown on the work of the government in UP in eight years and a booklet was also released.
Addressing the press conference, Yogi said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi and the combined efforts of 25 crore people of the state, today this Uttar Pradesh is moving towards becoming India’s ‘labor power pool from economic power pool’. Uttar Pradesh is the same, but the perception has completely changed in the last eight years. The identity that has been made in the field of security, good governance, prosperity and Sanatan culture, not only Uttar Pradesh but the whole of India is realizing it.
He said that Uttar Pradesh, which was known as a sick state eight years ago, has today become the growth engine of the country’s economy.
The Chief Minister congratulated the 25 crore residents of the state for this wonderful journey of eight years and said that the double engine government has brought about extensive changes in every sector. A three-day ‘Vikas Utsav’ will be organized at every district headquarters on March 25, 26 and 27, in which the farmers, youth, women power, handicrafts men and entrepreneurs will be honored. Here the development journey of 10 years of the central government and 8 years of the state will be presented before the public.
He said that the Prime Minister has set a target of making the country a five trillion dollar economy. UP is the number two economy of the country and will soon become number one. Eight years ago, the identity of Uttar Pradesh was in crisis. Farmers were committing suicide, youth were in need of their identity, daughters and businessmen were insecure. Riots and anarchy had destroyed the economy. The double engine government completely changed this perception. Today, Uttar Pradesh has become a breakthrough in the country’s development and is progressing in every sector.
He said that in the first cabinet itself in 2017, loans of small and marginal farmers were waived at a cost of Rs 36,000 crore. From 2017 till now, sugarcane price of Rs 2.80 lakh crore has been paid, which is Rs 60,000 crore more than the payment made by the previous governments in 22 years. Ethanol production increased from 42 crore liters to 177 crore liters.
