New Delhi, December 09: Oil marketing companies on Monday raised petrol and diesel prices amidst rising prices of crude oil in the international market. Petrol has become costlier by 5 paise per liter in the four major metros of the country, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai.
At the same time, in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, the price of diesel has been increased by 10 paise, while in Chennai it has been increased by 11 paise per liter.
According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has increased to Rs 75.00, Rs 77.67, Rs 80.65 and Rs 77.97 per liter respectively. At the same time, the price of diesel has increased to Rs 66.04, Rs 68.45, Rs 69.27 and Rs 69.81 per liter in all the metros.
Apart from this, petrol is being sold in Noida at Rs 76.29 and diesel at Rs 66.35 per liter. Petrol is available in Gurugram at a price of Rs 74.49 and diesel at Rs 65.35 per liter. Whereas in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, petrol is being sold at the price of Rs 76.17/liter and diesel at Rs 66.22/ liter.
