New Delhi, 05 August: The Border Security Force (BSF) is on high alert amidst the political crisis in Bangladesh after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country. BSF, which protects the 4096 km border with Bangladesh, has issued an alert to its soldiers.
DG BSF Daljit Singh Chaudhary is reaching Kolkata to keep a close watch on the situation.
It is worth mentioning that continuous protests were going on in Bangladesh for the last one month against reservation. The protesters demanded the removal of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned today and has left for a safe place. Now an interim government will be formed in the country with the support of the army.
