A spokesperson of the state government said on Sunday that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given many times the amount to the farmers in four and a half years as compared to the previous governments. For the first time in the state, more than 433.86 lakh metric tonnes of food grains have been procured by the government and more than Rs 78,000 crore has been paid to 78,23,357 farmers. Record payment of 6, 80, 708 crore rupees to farmers
The spokesman said that the efforts made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make the farmers financially prosperous and powerful have hardly been done in any government before. Through various schemes, CM Yogi has given more amounts to the farmers than the annual budget of the state in the tenure of just four and a half years. This is also a history in the state, since independence till 2017; no government has given even half of the annual budget of the state to the farmers.
βA record Rs.6 lakh 80 thousand 708 crore has been paid to the farmers by the state government under various heads. If the steps taken by the government in the interest of farmers and the amount given in other items are added, then this amount can reach 10 lakh crores,β added Spokesman.
For the first time, payment of more than one lakh 40 thousand crores to sugarcane farmers
The official spokesperson said that Chief Minister Yogi took full care of the facilities of the farmers even in the Corona epidemic. During this, sugar mills continued to run in the state and all activities related to farming were allowed, so that farmers do not face any kind of problem. In the previous governments, sugar mills were closing and dues of sugarcane farmers were increasing year after year, but CM Yogi modernized and expanded 20 sugar mills including Ramala, Pipraich, Munderwa sugar mills. Also, for the first time in the history of the state, 45 lakh sugarcane farmers have been paid more than one lakh 40 thousand crore cane price.
