New Delhi, 25 November: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited the state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
During this, the Prime Minister flew in the indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft. The purpose of his visit to Bengaluru was to monitor the operations of manufacturing facilities including Tejas.
Sharing pictures of the flight on social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Successfully completed the flight on Tejas.” This experience was incredible, which greatly increased my confidence in the indigenous capabilities of our country and instilled in me a sense of renewed pride and optimism about our national potential.β
The Prime Minister’s visit comes at a time when the Indian Air Force has announced plans to procure fighter jets and light combat helicopters (LCHs) and upgrade its Sukhoi-30s.
