Mahakumbh Nagar (Prayagraj), 14 December: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5500 crores during a public program here on Friday. During this, the Prime Minister was completely immersed in the color of Kumbh.
In his address, he described the glory of Prayagraj and Kumbh through many shlokas. The Prime Minister said that the message of unity will come out of this Maha Kumbh, there will be no difference of language, caste and region. Here everyone will be one.
The Prime Minister said that if I have to describe this Maha Kumbh, then I would say that there will be such a Maha Yagya of unity that will be discussed all over the world. I wish for the grand and divine success of this event. Our India is a country of holy rivers and pilgrimage sites. The purity of the flow of these rivers, the importance of numerous pilgrimages, their confluence, their collection, coincidence, effect is Pratap Prayag. It is not just the confluence of three holy rivers.
With the shloka, the Prime Minister said that when the Sun enters Capricorn, all divine powers come to Prayag. Prayagraj has also been praised in the Vedas.
He praised the holy places of Prayag. This is the land where Dharma, Artha, Kam and Moksha are easily available. I am blessed that I get the privilege of coming here again and again. Today we had the darshan of reclining Hanuman ji. Worshipped Akshay Vat. Corridor is being constructed at both these places. Projects worth thousands of crores have been inaugurated here. I congratulate all of you for this.
The Prime Minister said that whether it was the period of slavery for hundreds of years or any other adverse situation, this flow of faith never stopped. This has been possible because coming to Kumbh is inspired by spontaneous consciousness. Such a confluence is rarely found anywhere in the world. Here the differences between the learned and the ignorant, the young and the old, the castes vanish. Everyone becomes one. This time too, crores of people will gather here from different states. Their language and beliefs may be different but everyone will become one here. That is why I say that this will be a Maha Kumbh of unity. Maha Kumbh presents the picture of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Prime Minister said that in Kumbh, saints and great men gather to discuss the situation of the country. They used to sit and discuss. They used to give the message of finding solutions to the problems of the society. Even today that flow is going on.
The Prime Minister said that despite Kumbh being so important, the previous governments did not pay attention to it. The devotees kept suffering but it did not matter to them. They did not have any attachment to the eternal Indian culture. Today’s double engine government gives importance to culture and civilization. That is why projects worth thousands of crores are being run. Connectivity has been improved from Ayodhya, Varanasi, Lucknow, Rae Bareli. Our government has focused on enriching the heritage along with development. Today, other circuits like Buddhist Circuit, Ramayana Circuit are being developed in different parts of the country. We are all witnesses to the development of Ayodhya. Vishwanath Dham, Mahalok are being discussed in the world today.
Modi said that the development of Prayagraj is a symbol of this. Our Prayagraj is also the land of Nishadraj. Shringaverpur is also an important milestone in Lord Ram becoming Maryada Purushottam. Kevat washed the feet of his Lord after finding him in front of him. This gives the message of friendship between God and devotee. Shringaverpur Dham is being developed. The statue of Lord Ram and Nishadraj will keep giving a message to the coming generations.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude in advance to the employees engaged in the preparation of Kumbh, especially the sanitation workers. He said that you will also become a partner in the virtue of the devotees. Just like Lord Krishna gave this message by picking up the used plates. You are the ones who wake up first in the morning and keep working till late night. That is why in the year 2019, I expressed my gratitude by washing your (sanitation workers) feet.
Modi said that economic activities get a boost from here. Usually, this is not discussed. People will come during the entire Kumbh. Sailor friends, people who perform worship, traders will get economic prosperity. The economy will gain momentum through all means. Economic strength will also be gained along with social harmony.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today the world’s popular leader Narendra Modi has arrived at the same Triveni site where Lord Shri Ram had visited Triveni in Treta Yuga. I welcome and congratulate the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Prayagraj and the state. Today he has brought projects worth thousands of crores. This is a happy day for all the followers of Sanatan Dharma. Prime Minister Modi is inaugurating projects like Akshay Vat Corridor, Bade Hanuman Mandir Corridor, Rishi Bhardwaj Ashram Corridor, Saraswati Koop Corridor today.
On this occasion, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Water Power Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, State BJP President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh and other leaders were also present.
