New Delhi, 25 February: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dove into the Arabian Sea to pray at the site of Dwarka, a sunken city on Sunday. Modi shared photos of his visit on social media, claiming that he felt linked to an old age of spiritual grandeur.
“Praying in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in water, was a very wonderful experience. I was transported to a bygone period of spiritual grandeur and unwavering commitment. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless everyone,” Modi posted on X. The ancient city of Dwarka is associated with Bhagwan Shri Krishna and was a center of magnificence and wealth during the Dwapara Yug.
According to an official statement, PM Modi saw this as more than simply a trek across the waterways, invoking the city’s great past and its connection to one of Hinduism’s most adored gods. The prime minister paid tribute to Dwarka, a city that continues to attract people with its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. During his underwater visit to Dwarka, Modi also presented peacock feathers as homage.
