PM Modi leaves for Russia, the world’s eyes are on the meeting with Putin

New Delhi, July 08: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for the Russian capital Moscow sometime ago this morning. The Indian Foreign Ministry has released a photo of the Prime Minister boarding a special plane on its X handle. The special plane will land at Moscow’s Vnukovo-II Airport at 5:20 pm.

Prime Minister is going to participate in the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He will be in Moscow today and tomorrow. Both leaders will review the entire range of multifaceted relations between India and Russia and exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest.

According to the information shared in the press information office (PIB) release of the Government of India, after this, the Prime Minister will go to Austria. He will be in Austria on 9 and 10 July. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years. Prime Minister Modi will meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer. Prime Minister Modi and Nehammer will also address industrialists from India and Austria.

Prime Minister Modi will also interact with the Indian community living in Moscow as well as Vienna in Russia. Many important agreements are likely to be signed in Russia. The world will especially be watching the defense deal. This is the first time Modi is visiting Russia after becoming Prime Minister for the third time. The whole world, including China and Pakistan, is watching Prime Minister Modi’s meeting with President Vladimir Putin. It is also important that this is the first time after the Russia-Ukraine war that Prime Minister Modi is visiting Moscow.

Russian President’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said that Russia is looking forward to the very important visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Moscow. Russia considers this visit to be very important for mutual relations. According to the program, Prime Minister Modi’s special plane will land at Vnukovo-II Airport at 5:20 pm. He will have a meeting with Putin from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm. On this occasion, both the leaders will attend dinner. Prime Minister Modi will meet people of Indian origin on July 9. There will be other meetings as well. On the same day, Prime Minister Modi will leave for Austria from Moscow. He will be on a visit to Austria till July 10.
