New Delhi, 01 December: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met several global leaders, including United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the COP-28 World Climate Action Summit.
Sharing photos on Instagram, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Delighted to attend the COP-28 summit, an important platform for global climate action. Look forward to engaging in meaningful dialogue and cooperation for a sustainable future.”
He further said that I thank my brother Mohammed bin Zayed and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for the warm welcome.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister also met King Abdullah II of Jordan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
Modi wrote on Twitter, “Pleased to meet His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan at COP-28. Our discussions were rich and reflected the deep friendship of our countries. Look forward to further strengthening our relations.’”
He wrote in another post, “Meaningful conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of COP-28 in Dubai.”
It was a privilege to meet Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter. His visionary leadership on various issues is truly commendable.
Modi wrote in another post, “It is always refreshing to exchange views with my friend Mark Rutte from the Netherlands.”
