Mathura, 23 November: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that India has always given respect to women. Even in Mathura, the name of Radha ji and then Kanha ji is taken. Saint Mirabai showed us direction in the difficult times of India.

He considered Saint Ravidas as his guru. She was also a social reformer and pioneer. Mirabai teaches us to stay away from conventions and stay connected to our values.

The Prime Minister said that the day is not far when there will be a grand and divine darshan of Lord Krishna in Mathura. Changes are taking place in the Braj region. This is not just a change of system, but it is the development of India’s renaissance.

Prime Minister Modi was addressing the ‘Braj Raj Utsav’ organized at the Railway Ground on the occasion of the 525th birth anniversary of Saint Mirabai.

He said that after the election battle in Rajasthan, I have come here in a devotional environment. This is a matter of great fortune for me. God can be seen in every particle here.

The Prime Minister said that while paying my respects to Lord Shri Krishna and Radharani, I pay tribute to Saint Mirabai. Gujarat has a connection from Lord Shri Krishna to Mirabai. Meera came to Braj from Rajasthan. Then she also went to Dwarka. Mother Ganga called me and then with the grace of Dwarkadhish, I came and settled among you all.

This program organized in the memory of Mirabai is a wonderful example of devotion, reverence and patriotism for us. This is amazing. We see Sudarshandhari in Lord Krishna and Kanha of Vanshi is also seen.

India has always respected women. Here also the name of Radha ji and then Kanha ji is taken. Saint Mirabai showed us direction in the difficult times of India. He considered Saint Ravidas as his guru. She was a social reformer and pioneer.

Prime Minister Modi reached Mathura on Thursday evening. He went to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple.

The Prime Minister performed formal darshan and worship in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. This is the first time that a Prime Minister of the country has reached Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple for darshan and worship.

However, this is Modi’s fourth visit to Mathura as Prime Minister. It is considered very important for the Prime Minister to visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present with him. Strict security arrangements have been made in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Minister Lakshminarayan Chaudhary, local MP Hema Malini, local MLA Shrikant Sharma and other public representatives were present.
